Many times a patient will call to make a new appointment and the front office staff will need to update that patient’s demographic or insurance information from the Patient screen. Then they will go to the Scheduler to create an appointment for that patient. Here is a short-cut for that process.
From the Patient Information screen, after saving your changes, go directly to the Scheduler:
That will bring you into the Scheduler, with that patient on your clipboard at the top left-hand side of the Schedule:
Now all you have to do is go to the day on the calendar where you want to make this appointment and drag and drop the patient information into the Scheduler.
You can then double-click on the appointment to make any changes, such as applying a reason code or adjusting the appointment time:
After Saving Changes to the left, you will now see the appointment on the Scheduler:
